Micro inverters aid in ensuring optimal power generation from each panel in a solar project. It ensures better performnce as it can help in reducing the obstacles of partial shading. This also helps in reducing the burden of installing a central inverter and the space needed for it.

The direct current (DC) electricity generated by your photovoltaic (PV) system is changed into the alternating current (AC) electricity that is used to power your home. This type of solar grid-tie inverter also makes it possible to send any excess electricity generated to the utility grid.

As per a latest MNRE notification, the residential rooftop setups under PM Surya Ghar are allowed to use hybrid inverters. The main benefit of using residential rooftop is storing the surplus solar power and using it when there is no power in the grid or at night.

The role of a solar inverter is to convert the solar power (generated in DC) to AC. In households, the electrical appliances use AC power. So the generating item in a solar system is not inverter but the solar modules. However, the proper running of inverters is also important. There are many errors like lack of grid power, excess grid voltage and others which can halt its operations. In most inverters, these errors are shown with a code which depict the particular problems with the inverter. Contact your solar project vendor or inverter firm for any clarification or repair if needed.

Keep the solar inverters under shade. Also make enough space on the four sides of the inverter to prevent heat accumulation.
