Solar cell manufacturing is inherently more complex than solar module production, which is largely an assembly-based process. The production of solar cells requires significantly higher capital investment at the outset. In India, the establishment of solar cell production facilities also involves navigating additional regulatory hurdles. This is due to the water usage during production and the disposal of effluents. Furthermore, the handling of ingots and wafers involves working with hazardous materials. As a result, apart from the capital requirements, solar cell manufacturing and related backward integration must comply with stricter environmental, pollution control, safety, and waste management regulations at the state level.

In UP, the calculations of net energy charges are done based on the solar power an grid power usage. However, even if your surplus solar power is more than your consumed grid power and the energy charges are in negative, you have to pay for your fixd monthy electricity meter charges and electricity duty.

In areas where there are regular power cuts and you have a grid-connected solar rooftop, you will not be able to use solar once power is not supplied by the grid in a conventional setup. In this system, one can use solar power even duiring blackouts.

However, initially, most of their production is expected to be used for captive consumption. So you may not need modules manufactured by Reliance being available for sale until much later.

However REC, a Singapore based firm that has been in the business of making solar modules  for a long time was acquired by Reliance Industries in 2021. To that extent, you can buy modules from a Reliance owned module manufacturer even today in India.

TOCOn based solar modules come in high Wp. Like above 620 Wp. That means that the similar single panel can produce more energy that the conventional soalr panels. This will allow lesser requirement of land for solar projects.

Better to go with white paint to increase albedo sensitivity, which will increase the yield.
