Bifacial modules produce solar power from both sides of the panel. This is based on something called the ‘albedo’ effect, where a light coloured floor or ground reflects enough light to generate electricity through the reverse side of the bi-facial solar panel. Thus, these panels can generate more power than other panels in the right conditions.
Mono-perc solar panels have a passivated emitter & and rear cell and produce from a single side.
