One way to access your demand is to find out the average consumption of your household in a year. This could be done by adding all the units your consumed monthly and dividing the final amount with 12. This will give uyour averrage annualy consumption. You have to compare the average monthly productionn of 1 KW of a solar panel and find out how much capacitty you may require to fulfil your monthly power units with solar. Solar installers typically assess energy consumption patterns and available roof space to recommend an appropriate system size. Factors such as budget and future energy needs also play a role in determining the system size.

Yes. Solar manufacturers have revealed that the imposition of Basic Customs Duty (BCD) on solar glass and anti-dumping duty on the same can prevent the availability of cheap solar glass for Indian solar manufacturers. Experts claimed that it would lead to a minor increase in solar panel prices on a per Watt basis. Although this will boost the demand for Indian solar glass makers like Borosil Renewables, this will affect the raw material cost for the solar module makers in India.

To boost the integration of solar power with the Indian grid, the Indian government is promoting on-grid rooftop solar through PM Surya Ghar where special subsidies are given to promote consumers to install rooftop solar. In this system, the surplus (unused) solar power from these systems are injected into the grid. In case of large solar projects, these large amount of solar power are injected into the grid to make the grid more green. Large scale solar projects has also made solar power cheaper than power coming from polluting sources like coal.
